This e-book illustrates various problems and solutions you can run into finding, bidding, and winning construction projects, and offers the best most efficient solutions.

I decided using 2D illustrations along with contextual photos was the best way to drive messaging home for users and readers.

One big challenge I faced was photo curation. Since ConstructConnect isn’t just a construction or software company, I had to dilligently comb for photos that were balanced and clearly communicated the relationship between technology and construction.

Mentorship Program Post

This carousel post is about mentorship, feeling supported in the workplace, and being confident in excelling on your career path.

Creating this post pushed me to think about the most efficient way to creating eye-catching imagery using symbology, masking, and making the most of my space.

Employee Highlights

Similar to the Mentorship posts, these were to express gratitude for opportunities, talk about volunteer projects, how much they mean to you, and shout out colleagues or mentors.

Working remotely, it was sometimes difficult to get good photos of individuals for these posts, but my communication skills were strengthened by being concise and direct to meet fast-approaching deadlines. My design skills were strentghened by working on these photos, which may have been blurry, not lit well, or had odd cropping.

Holiday Post

Some holiday posts were more about creating space to engage with users and start conversations. This Earth Day post, for example, was a project where co-workers could send in photos of their gardens or favorite plants that they’re growing. This type of personal post creates a space where people can engage with the company, and vice versa creating a long-lasting genuine relationship.

Social Media Campaign - Economic Webcast

I started this project with a custom video template I designed, inputting my edited footage, to create a short series of videos.

I had to keep clip cuts smooth and make sure transitions were engaging but not too distracting. I used Premiere Pro for this project, and the teaser clips were featured on Instagram, with full length discussion videos featured on ConstructConnect’s website.

I worked on revamping single page case studies, connecting with the Content Team and the Executive Leadership Team to create new formatting and templates. A good portion of time was spent optimizing space, creating easily understood symbols, and where opportunities were presented to plug in clickable links to external sites through the finished PDF files.

Each formatting was slightly different (using the same base elements), and I had to quickly pivot the design based on the information I was given to provide the best visual outcome.
